This Winchester USA 5.56x45 cartridge is built to the exact same specifications as the U.S. Armed Forces’ M193. As such it has a standard 55 grain bullet loaded to a muzzle velocity of 3,180 fps. It’s going to keep a real flat trajectory, having to rise by no more than a couple of inches to reach a 200 yard target.

This round is crowned is a full metal jacket – the basic bullet, as far as semi-auto ammo goes. The jacket has a cannelure to help keep the bullet from shifting in its case, and a pointed tip for better accuracy. The FMJ’s core is made of solid lead. There is no steel to set off a magnet in there!

Winchester loads clean-burning propellant and non-corrosive Boxer primers to deliver consistent recoil and point of aim. Their brass cases are brand new and reloadable. Some people are suspicious of military-grade cases because their necks are discolored, but they shouldn’t be! These cases only look that way because Winchester skipped polishing them after they were annealed for added strength.
