The SureFire SOCOM Muzzle Brake 5.56mm was designed to greatly reduce both felt recoil and muzzle rise so that the weapon tracks straight back and helps you keep the muzzle on target for faster follow-up shots. Surefire's Impulse Diffusion design minimizes side blast and rear-directed concussion effects. Built to withstand the rigors of combat, the SOCOM Muzzle Brake also serves as a solid mounting adapter for any SureFire SOCOM Series 5.56 Fast-Attach sound suppressors.<br> <br> All SureFire SOCOM Series muzzle brakes have blind pilot holes at the 3 and 9 o'clock positions to allow for fine-tuning of recoil for individual shooters or ammunition. There is also a blind pilot hole at the 6 o'clock position to enable indexing the adapter at bottom dead center, and to pin-and-weld the muzzle brake onto short-barreled rifles. Requires a basic hand drill and appropriate drill bits.<br> <br> The SOCOM Muzzle Brake is machined from heat-treated stainless steel bar stock and has high-precision single-point cut threads for optimum thread interface.
