New UBERTI S&W 1875 SCHOFIELD No. 3 TOP BREAK - 7" BARREL 45LC - FORGED STEEL COLOR CASE HARDENDED FRAME w/CHARCOAL BLUED BARREL & CYLINDER plus TWO-PIECE WALNUT GRIPS

Designed by Major George Schofield to be operated with one hand while on horseback, a break-open pistol was ideal for mounted soldiers in the U.S. Cavalry. Shooters could easily eject all six spent cartridges and reload while on horseback. The top break pistol also proved useful to the likes of Jesse James and Wild Bill Hickok. The Schofield barrel latch opens by pulling it back with the thumb and includes the rear sight notch. This model features a forged steel color cased hardened frame and parts, charcoal blued finished 7" barrel and cylinder with and two-piece walnut grips with cartouche.  Chambered in the venerable 45LC.
