Salixian Gunworks is now offering premium custom wood furniture upgrades for The Zastava M70 / ZPAP! These pieces are 100% made in the USA from USA sourced and hand selected Hard Woods such as Hickory, Hard Maple, Oak or Ash which is the same wood used for baseball bats, hammer and axe handles etc. and can take a real kinetic beating unlike most other wood used for this application. The pieces that we make are manufactured at a tighter tolerance compared to the standard mil spec stuff (final fitting may be required), and have been re engineered and bolstered with thicker walls in the internal dimensions where possible. The inner channel for the lower hand guard has been redesigned to fit much more snugly around the barrel and trunnion/receiver area, increasing the internal width of the wood and its overall durability significantly! The mounting points have also been improved for more solid mounting and increased integrity to prevent wobble or coming loose over time. The upper hand guard does not utilize or need a retainer clip, and is also re engineered and bolstered with thicker walls in the internal dimensions so the wood hugs the gastube more closely, instead of fitting loosely and needing a retainer clip to poorly take up the typical wobble. The Skeletonized Pistol Grip comes with an upgraded mounting screw as well! If you have been looking to add some quality wood furniture to your firearm in order to make it more functional and personalized while also improving its looks significantly, then Salixian Gun Works has you covered! We are expanding our product line every day to cover an increasing wide range of firearms with all the major furniture styles and configurations, as well as trying to meet the demand for the niche/custom stuff at the same time. We do accept special orders, and we work with our clients all the time to meet their needs for unique “can’t get anywhere else” custom work, so feel free to message us for more info if you’ve got any ideas you would like to collaborate on. Thanks for looking!
Prices on these M70 pattern furniture sets range depending on the specific style of hand guards, the type of finish and whether or not you want a matching pistol grip. Please message or text REDACTED number provided for current price and availability.
Each piece fabricated by us is hand fitted and installed on a firearm prior to finishing so that minimal final fitting should be necessary by the recipient. But please understand that firearms like the AK, and all of its many variants, are a loose tolerance design for manufacturing and design intent purposes, which is a cardinal characteristic that also lends to its reputation for reliability. As such, fitting of parts - especially wood furniture - may be required of you. The vast majority of time this involves just a few minutes of your time using a $5 wood hand file or Dremel to ensure proper fitment and should not require you to damage the external finish. But remember, you can always remove more material during fitting but it’s hard to add it back… so take your time and enjoy working on your rifle. If you are not comfortable with the process, you need to employ a gunsmith. I am not responsible for you “getting in over your head” and damaging stuff. If you do not feel comfortable installing these parts onto your firearm, or encounter fitting problems beyond your capability, then you need to consult a local gunsmith!
It is the buyers responsibility to be aware of and abide by all Federal, state and local laws when modifying their firearms, so please keep that in mind and do your research prior to ordering. We are not lawyers, and do not offer legal advice.
I accept trades for quality firearms, tools, optics, weapons lights, knives, mags etc. so feel free to contact me to discuss potential trades.
