Rather Rare model, the Yugo M48 Mauser 8mm rifle was made after WW2 by Zastava Arms in Yugoslavia. The M.48BO rifles that Zastava made for export, both commercial and military sales. The "BO" represents "bez oznake" meaning "without markings". Besides the absence of markings, these rifles are otherwise identical to M.48 & M.48A rifles. This rifle looks like a K98 mauser, since it was really a Yugoslavian redesign after world war II. The bore is usable and so is the wood. Totally blank barrel band and receiver makes it a rather odd and unusual model. It a must have if your a Mauser collector or looking for a work horse rifle to shoot some of the super cheap 8mm ammo coming in from overseas, also in stock in bulk.
