This is a stock from a Remington 700 BDL Short Action rifle.  It is solid without any cracks.  However, it needs to be refinished because is has scratches and dings plus it has some numbers stamped into the top and bottom of the buttstock as well as on the bottom of the fore-end just in front of the floor plate.  There is no bedding material in the stock.
