For sale: Marlin model 39M in new condition. I purchased this rifle in 1981 anticipating that one of my children would develop an interest in shooting. None did. I had a professional gunsmith mount a 3x - 9X Bushnell Banner II scope on it using Weaver bases and Bushnell rings. I still have the rear sight which was removed to accomodate the scope. I fired 20 or 30 rounds to sight it in, then cleaned and oiled the rifle and put it in a padded case and stored it in my safe. It has never been in the field. This is essentially a brand new rifle.
