Choice at $365 each. Firm though. Decided to part with my 3 Winchester Model 25 shotguns. All are 12 gauge. When inquiring, please mention the serial number. The top one in the photo is Serial #23931. 2.75” chamber. Full choke. Wood may be original finish, I’m not certain. Pretty good work if it isn’t. Furniture is great, some light sporadic handling marks, none of any noteworthy severity. Some typical loss of bluing only on the high edges, and behind the pump, the gun has apparently only had light to moderate use, and has been cared for. I’ve only had it a couple years and I don’t know the history past that. Barrel has some scratches, I photographed them all. In general, total bluing would still have to be above 90% but you can judge for yourself in the photos I can provide. Bore is smooth as glass and blindingly shiny. Everything functions the way it should.  

The one in the middle of the photo is Serial #6258. Chamber is 2.75” and Full choke. The wood grain seems to be an improved replacement stock or an upgrade. Has a Pachmayer buttpad that fits very well. The rear stock has some sporadic light scratches that are barely worth mentioning, there are some heavier scratches but all but a few are still not immediately noticeable. There are some very small and minor compression dents. Nothing beyond some normal field use for a gun this age. For the foregrip, the only way to notice any flaw is to look into a light reflection off the varnish. Nothing but some light scratches. Typical loss of bluing at the high edges and behind the foregrip. There are several small scuffs in the bluing of the left side of the receiver, the right side has only a few light scratches and very small dot scuffs in the bluing. The barrel in general is starting to lose some bluing. It has a scratch on the bottom and two small spots where the bluing is worn down a little more. In general, there’s quite a bit of bluing left as can be seen in photos I can provide. Bore is smooth as glass and blindingly shiny. Still a shotgun one can be proud to own. Everything functions the way it should.  

The one in the bottom of the photo is Serial #65115. Chamber is 2.75” and Full choke. I believe the furniture is original finish. Any scratches in the stock are very light and only noticeable in reflected light off the varnish. There are a few very small compression dents. The foregrip has virtually no scratches in it which can even be seen in reflection off the varnish. The only flaws in the foregrip are 3 tiny compression dents, and a couple slightly larger. All in all the wood is in impressive condition. There is one oddity to the rear stock I need to point out. I’ve heard stories of the old timers carving their social security numbers into the stock as theft protection. I assume this practice was short lived and stopped when people figured out that putting your social security number out there for anyone to see invited a different kind of theft and a more problematic one. But anyway, I had heard the story, but had never encountered one before, but this is one of those guns. One of the previous owners carved his social security number into the stock. I bought this gun from an estate over a year ago so I assume it is an inactive number. The bluing is top notch on a gun this age, it hasn’t even started to notably wear on the high edges yet. There’s a little of the usual loss due to the pump action, but that’s it. The gun shows little use. I found a couple incredibly small scratches on the barrel, and some scuff dots on the right side of the receiver and that’s it. I can provide lots of photos verifying this gun’s terrific condition. Bore is smooth as glass and blindingly shiny. Everything functions the way it should.
