This is a fine example of "old reliable" , the one today that leads the list of collectible American shotgun's... Parker Brothers. The following information is take from verification, documentation from The Parker Brothers Collectors  association.  The firearm will obviously come with the research,  paperwork and background with pictures.
The firearm  According  to Parker Order Book No. 5 was ordered on June 27, 1879 and shipped September 8, 1879.  Brief description - SxS 12 gauge hammering which features 30 inch damascus steel barrels,and it's stock configuration is a capped pisol grip. Parker Brothers Book  No. 6 confirms these details: Specs were: length of pull 14 1/8, drop at heel 2 3/4, weight: 8 pounds 9 ounces. The requested  choke was RH-Modified and a notation/request for patent forend.  It was shipped to its owner (a Dr. in Iowa) who's been researched as well.  Just more information to put a story to the build and other history.  


Mechanically all is well, this fit, finish, lockup all nice and tight..for any age....as you will seein the pictures.....the wood is beautiful, check out the finish and it is balanced so well.  The bores are excellent nice, shiny and so clean. I'm sure I'm forgetting things but feel free to ask.
