The left side of the barrel is marked “Cal. 32 S&W Long”. The right side of the barrel is marked with the serial number. There are 3 proof marks on the left side of the frame at the rear sight. The butt of the gun is marked “HS Model 700 / serial #”.

You can shoot .32 S&W Long or short in this, but not Colt.
