This is a Chinese Type 53 Carbine bolt-action rifle that is chambered in 7.62 X 54R (rimmed) which is a Chinese manufactured replica of the Russian Mosin-Nagant M44 Carbine that is a new production version of the 91/30 long barrel unit with a reduced barrel length and a side-mounted folding bayonet still on the weapon. This is a military surplus rifle that came in original condition from long term storage with a real crappy looking worn out stock. I have added a black ProMag Archangel OPFOR glass-filled nylon stock designed for Mosin-Nagant rifles with adjustable cheek riser, length of pull, pistol grip, and detachable magazines. It comes with 3 - 5 shot magazines and 1 - 10 shot unit which came with the stock. I have installed a Timney trigger replacement with a positive manual safety for smooth shooting and increased safety since the stock safety has a way of slipping in your grip. The trigger pull is around 5-1/2 lbs of pressure with the new trigger. I have also added a Brass Stacker add on picatinny rail scope mount in a scout forward configuration mounted to the original sight package. The original sights have been retained with this system under the scope mount. There is also a NcStar 1X45 Red Dot scope with a Weaver base (DTB145) mounted in that scout forward position. Included is an adjustable bi-pod unit attached to a mount on the stock of this unit. I will include the black nylon Blackhawk Sportster 46" length tactical case with 4 magazine pouches and front compartment for cleaning supplies or whatever. Please make me an offer on this truly sweet weapon I call the "Howitzer" due to the noise of shooting this weapon with the short barrel which is around 18". I am not looking for trades and need to sell this weapon for cash. Let's make a deal!
