A true piece of American history!

Original Remington 1858 New Model 44 Cal.  Serial number puts REDACTED production (95,xxx range).  Finish is very worn, and there is some pitting, but in good overall original condition.  Inspector stamps are intact, ordnance acceptance cartouche on the grip is faint but still there.  Trigger/catch spring was replaced with new as the original was damaged, still have the original.  Hand was missing, replaced with new replacement.  Has not been test fired, and would not recommend unless checked over by a gunsmith, it's an old girl at almost 160 years old.  Can provide detailed pictures upon request.  Asking $1,000 OBO.  May entertain partial/full trades.

May consider shipment within CONUS for the right buyer.
