This is a used (police surplus) firearm in excellent condition.  Ruger SP101 in 38 Special.  Stainless steel revolver with a 3" barrel.  Five shot cylinder.  This revolver comes with a lanyard on the grip.  It can be easily removed.  My research tells me this was originally purchased by the French Rail Police.
