Gesichert 42 German Luger 9mm with 1-mag. Original pre-war 1940 dated, "42 code" Nazi Mauser Luger. These Lugers feature a salt blue metal finish with checkered walnut grips. The chamber area is marked with the full date of 1940 with the new "42" code marking for the Mauser factory on the front toggle. The right side of the barrel extension has the early double "Eagle/ 655" proofs and the single "Eagle/ Swastika" firing proof. The rear of the barrel is mark on both sides with “Eagle 655/Swastika. The left side of breechblock is also marked with "Eagle" test/acceptance proof
