The Byrna HD is equipped with the Max Kit, which includes Inert powder projectiles, Kinetic projectiles, and Max projectiles. The Byrna Max projectile uses a proprietary blend of "OC" (oleoresin capsicum) and CS (tear gas). When an attacker is struck with a Max projectile it will burst open and spread its potent blended contents into the air, quickly creating a cloud of the powerfully disorienting chemical irritant.
