Available now is a Remington 870 Wingmaster Field pump-action shotgun in 16 gauge, offered on consignment from an estate. This classic shotgun features a 28" barrel with a 2.75" chamber and a fixed Full choke, making it ideal for deer hunting and upland game.

Date of Manufacture:

The barrel date code suggests this shotgun could have been produced in 1936, 1958, or 1984. However, since the Wingmaster in 16 GA was discontinued in 1980 and the overall look and condition align with late 1950s production, it’s most likely a 1958 model.

Condition:

  • Bluing: Honest wear from carry and loading, with some bluing loss

  • Wood Stock: General wear with nicks and scrapes, mostly on the left side of the stock

  • Scope: Drilled and tapped for optics, currently fitted with a Weaver K2.5-1 scope, likely from the 1970s

  • Overall: In good condition for its age and functionally solid
