The Winchester model 70 has been referred to as the “Rifleman’s Rifle.” It is a machined form one peice of steel and does not have a shim in between the barrel and receiver to absorb recoil. Instead it has been built into the receiver allowing no room for movement that could affect accuracy and increases durability. The three position tang safety allows the user to operate the bolt while the rifle is still set on safe. This Winchester model 70 is chambered in 300 Win Mag and has a gray synthetic stock. The bolt is jeweled and the action is very smooth. There are some signs of use on the rifle but it is in overall good condition.
