The LAR-PDS Pistol is the first generation that employs RRA's patent pending Piston Driven System that does away with the traditional gas operating system associate with AR style firearms. The PDS features a proprietary flat top optic-ready upper and a Hogue rubber pistol grip. It has a two position regulator and a RRA injection molded ribbed handguard with an integral operator safety flange. This pistol includes Rock River's fantastic two stage trigger. The PDS is chambered 5.56mm NATO and accepts .223 Remington. RRA has built this pistol for precision with a 9" Chrome Moly barrel that has a 1:9 twist. It has an A2 flash hider and the muzzle has a 1/2-28 thread. If you're in the market for a AR style pistol the LAR-PDS from Rock River Arms is the gun you've been waiting for.
LAR-PDS® Pistol Features
Featuring a purpose-designed bolt carrier, an adjustable gas piston and an over-the-barrel spring and guide rod arrangement, the LAR-PDS® is able to completely do away with the traditional recoil system associated with AR-style firearms, making for an extremely versatile weapon platform.
Full Length Top Mounting Rail
The LAR-PDS® Pistol’s full length top mounting rail, from the rear of the receiver to the regulator housing, allows for the flexible placement of numerous optics, lights, lasers and other accessories.
Two Position Adjustable Regulator
The LAR-PDS® Pistol’s two position adjustable regulator is conveniently positioned on the right side of the regulator housing.
Folding Ambidextrous Non-Reciprocating Charging Handles
The folding ambidextrous, non-reciprocating charging handles, shown above in the extended position, may be used singly or in unison to charge the LAR-PDS® Pistol.
Rear Sling or Accessory Mounting Rail
The LAR-PDS® Pistol features a MS1913 rail on the rear receiver adapter. The design of the upper receiver and guide rod base prevents gas blow-by to the back of the receiver.
Handguard with Operator Safety Flange
With integral Operator Safety Flange to help prevent support-hand movement/slippage towards the muzzle.
MS1913 Rail on Regulator Housing
The regulator housing features a MS1913 rail for attaching sling mounts or weapon lights.
