The SilencerCo Osprey uses a mono-core baffle design inside a polygonal housing, allowing the user to use their existing factory sights while maintaining the benefits of a larger internal volume. A patented cam locking system allows the SilencerCo Osprey to index to the correct position, and retain that position between mounting and removal. In addition to pistol cartridges, the SilencerCo Osprey is also rated for subsonic 300 Blackout ammunition. Use of the SilencerCo Osprey on a fixed barrel, such as an AR-15, requires the use of a fixed barrel spacer.
