LINEBAUGH CUSTOM SIXGUNS, BISLEY 458 MAXIMUM. This is a full custom conversion done by John Linebaugh of Cody Wyoming on the Ruger Maximum frame. This firearm has a 6” barrel, Ruger Bisley grip frame, custom ivory micarta grips and is serial number 5. It has all the amenities for strength and mechanical precision that John is well known for. In terms of rarity, to my knowledge at the time of this listing, it is one of only five ever built. John had mentioned to the effect, this caliber was one of the more usable “maximum” conversions. The 458 Maximum cartridge by John Linebaugh is 45-70 cut to 1.6” length and loaded with standard .458 diameter bullets. Ballistics are a 405 grain bullet in excess of 1500 fps from this 6” revolver. This gun is in very good condition and still has the mechanical tightness expected of a Linebaugh Custom revolver. Included in the sale is the RCBS custom reloading die set, and 50 plus rounds of appropriate brass, some of which are fired, some are new and trimmed to length. As many well know, John is a premiere gunsmith with a lengthy backlog of work and extended wait times.
