In 2003 the gunsmith and engineers at Smith and Wesson wanted to deliver maximum power for serious engine hunters. The result was an entirely new frame design, the massive X-frame and this was the basis for the new model Smith & Wesson 500, the most powerful production revolver in the world. This ushered in the era of the "big gun" and was only the beginning. This revolver features a removable high-efficiency compensator, high viz. red dot interchangeable front sight and rubber recoil absorbing grips. The pistol has an 8 1/4 inch barrel and a frame lock. It comes complete in it's original factory hard case with a second compensator, removal tool, manual, lock and two keys for the frame lock This revolver should meet the needs of anyone looking for a massive and powerful revolver.
