The Upper Advanced Receiver is precision machined with an ultra-smooth proprietary bore. At a roughness average of 16 µin, bolt carrier friction is significantly less than a typical upper receiver creating a silkier action. Featuring the SMOOTHCAM system, a domed head, low friction cam pin and blended cam recess have been carefully designed to further reduce friction and wear against internal surfaces. Barrel nut threads, bore, and barrel extension surfaces are all machined in one operation for a perfectly concentric, perpendicular fit to the barrel assembly.

The included Domed Cam Pin is machined from 17-4 PH stainless steel, hardened to H900, polished, and finished in its natural hardened coppery state. The circular head has a flat face machined so that it may be inserted into any bolt carrier without removing the gas key. Two further flats are machined at 90 degrees to the front face, minimizing internal wear to the cam channel.
