Stevens Model 530A Double Barrel Shotgun. 20 gauge, 28 inch barrels with grooved rib and two bead sights (one nearest receiver is missing). Blued finish. Case-hardened receiver with engraved dog scene on left side. Dual triggers. Automatic safety. Checkered walnut pistolgrip stock and fore-end. Grooved hard rubber buttplate. Weight: 7 1/2-pounds. Length of pull: 12.75 inches, stock was probably cut down at some point. Wear to bluing on left side of barrel, along with rough patch, possible slight surface rust or pitting that is starting to take hold. Bluing is still in good shape overall. Bores are bright and clean. '5100' on right side of receiver is NOT the model number of the gun, it was the receiver the gun was built on according to Stevens/Savage historians. Heart engraving on underside of receiver indicates probable manufacturing date of 1942. All markings are clean and easy to read, no rust. Trigger guard is heavily scratched. Wood is in good shape, no major damage, no cracks visible in stock or forearm. The wood does have normal signs of wear and use in the wood, but overall given the age of the gun it's in great shape.
