The Winchester model 70 has been referred to as the “Rifleman’s Rifle.” It is a machined form one peice of steel and does not have a shim in between the barrel and receiver to absorb recoil. Instead it has been built into the receiver allowing no room for movement that could affect accuracy and increases durability. The three position tang safety allows the user to operate the bolt while the rifle is still set on safe. This model 70 comes with a sling, 3-9 optic and a synthetic stock. Overall it is in good condition with some marks on either side of the rifle of wear. There are some spots of rust towards the end of the barrel.
