Designed in the 1970s, the Mossberg 810A comes from the 800 series of rifles originally designed in the 1960s. The 810A model came chambered primarily in hunting calibers such as the 30-06. 270Win, and 7mm Rem Mag and included a stronger extractor within a redesigned receiver from the original 800. High production costs. and limited profitability inevitably drove Mossberg to discontinue this rifle within less than a decade.

This model comes in good condition with some signs of wear on the wood and receiver. This variant includes the detachable box magazine as opposed to the hinged magazine. Additionally, it includes an older mounted Bushnell 3-9x Banner scope.
