Manufactured from 1969 to 1985 and made specifically for the civilian market the Armalite AR-180 is a semi-automatic version of the AR-18 a selective-fire rifle made for military use. It employs a gas-operated system and is chambered in 5.56x45mm (5.56 NATO) 223 Rem. It includes adjustable flip-up sights as well as a scope mounting base. The AR-180 weighs in at just over 6 pounds and has an 18 barrel with an overall length of 38 inches.
