This rifle is a G Series FAL, it is part of the 1,815 that was imported between September 5th 1959 and January 10th 1963. This is as close to a military issued FN FAL as one can get. These rifles are capible of recieving drop in auto sears which originally classified them as machine guns prior to being exempt from the NFA by the ATF Director in 1979. All of the serial numbers match, and they are on the exempt list from the ATF.
