SELLER DESCRIPTION
This Johnson M1941 is a semi-automatic World War II-era rifle chambered in 30-06 with a 10-plus-1 round capacity. Ultimately losing out to the M1 Garand as the officially U.S. Army rifle, the M1941 did see action in the Pacific theatre with U.S. Marines. This rifle has a 23-inch barrel with an adjustable rear sight and a post front sight. A detachable barrel made for easy storage of the Johnson M1941, while the rotary magazine allowed for somewhat easier reloading than on the M1 Garand. The smooth walnut stock and forend feature sling loop, while also offering a handsome contrast against the blued steel of the rest of this rifle. The original metal butt plate on the stock of this rifle has been replaced with a rubber recoil pad.
