“From the pictures, it appears to be a typical Model 1, Second Issue with most of the silver plating still there on the frame, but not on the barrel assembly.  These were made from 1860 to 1868; the serial number suggests it was probably produced during the latter part of the Civil War (117,000 total produced).  In the absence of any special features such as inscriptions, provenance, special grips, etc, and assuming it’s in working condition, I would call it antique good to very good condition.  According to the “Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson, 4th Edition” by Jim Supica  and Richard Nahas.”
