This is an original Remington Rolling Block rifle chambered for .43 Spanish.  The 34” barrel has developed a patina, but some blueing can still be seen around the rear sight.  The bore is in decent condition; the rifling is still sharp, but there is roughness in some places.  The front sight is fixed and the rear sight is adjustable for elevation.  Three steel barrel bands hold the stock to the barrel, all three have a patina.  The receiver also has a patina, but no scratches or pitting. The hammer and breech block pins have small dings and all the screws are in good condition.  The hammer is developing a patina, but the breech block still has most of its blueing.  The stock is in fair condition.  The forend has scattered dents and scratches and the ramrod channel has some small chips out. The buttstock has some scratches and dents as well.  The finish on the walnut is still uniform.  The buttstock has a sling swivel and crescent buttplate. The wood to metal fit is good.
