Almost wild mix of a German P38 and a Italian Beretta FS92 all built into functioning pistols that served as a battle side arm of the Croatian military during the Croatian War of Independence. Large “coat of arms” type proof mark on the breach of the pistol. Not only a hard to find collectable, but it would be a head turning at the range, who do you know has ever had one ?
PHP MV is a semi-automatic pistol chambered in 9mm Luger, IMPORTED FROM CROATIA and manufactured in Croatia by IM Metallic, later known as HS Produkt and better known now as their partership with Springfield Armory. The model name “Prvi Hrvatski Pištolj” translates to “First Croatian Pistol.” It features a steel frame with a black finish and black polymer grips. The design was an early domestic sidearm developed for Croatian military use in the early 1990s.
The PHP MV incorporates several design influences from both the Beretta 92 and Walther P38 pistols. It uses an open-top slide and a vertically tilting locking block similar to those found on the Beretta, while the overall frame profile and slide contours resemble the P38. The pistol operates on a double-action/single-action trigger system and includes a manual safety that also functions as a decocking lever, positioned on the left side of the grip frame. The steel construction and polymer grip panels reflect a transitional design approach combining modern materials with traditional mechanical layouts.
External wear consistent with age and use is present, including scratches, small dings, and finish wear on exposed metal surfaces. The pistol retains its original black finish and polymer grips. No adjustable sights are fitted. No additional accessories or packaging are included.
