This 1890 dated 7.92x57mm Spitzer converted Commission Gewehr Model 1888 has a 29” blued tapered round barrel encased in a metal tube for protection and mounted with an adjustable rear sight and a drift-adjustable front sight. Please Note: The rear sight is missing its elevator and the barrel tube shows usage dents. The top of the receiver is stamped with arsenal markings and the date of manufacture. The bore is very good. The Walnut stock with metal buttplate is in good condition with the exception of some handling marks. The gun features two sling swivels, a bayonet lug and a cleaning rod. The numbers on this gun are non-matching. The bolt and rear sight are Turkish the rest of rifle appears to be German. Length of pull is 13”, overall length is 49”, weight is 8.8 lbs.
