Nice Sphinx, in very good condition. These are very hard to find Swiss pistols, I doubt many were imported on a regular basis.

This pistol has a bobed hammer fired system sort of like a Sig, instead of a striker fire system. Overall condition is used, but in very good to excellent shape. There are signs of use, scratches, marks, normal wear and tear.

Hard to find and still in service overseas, the model P-83 pistol in 9x19MAK made in the famous FB RADOM plant circle 11 in Poland. From the markings, we believe this is actually a military issued pistol, which was later imported into the United States.

The F.B. Radom P-83 Wanad is a Polish semi-automatic pistol chambered in 9x18mm Makarov. It features a steel frame with a black finish and black plastic grips. The design uses a straight-blowback operating system and a double-action/single-action trigger mechanism. Standard magazine capacity is 8 rounds, with one additional round chambered for an 8+1 configuration. The P-83 was produced as a successor to the earlier P-64 model and served as a sidearm for Polish military and police forces beginning in the early 1980s. This same type of pistol was said to be used in both Yugoslav Wars and Iraq War.

This P-83 Wanad is used. The pistol’s construction is entirely steel, contributing to its robust design and characteristic weight balance for the 9x18mm cartridge. Controls include a manual safety and slide-mounted decocker, consistent with service models manufactured at the Lucznik factory in Radom, Poland.
