The Colt Woodsman is a semi-automatic sporting pistol produced by Colt’s Manufacturing Company in the United States from 1915 to 1977. Originally designed by John Moses Browning and refined by Colt’s engineers before its release, the Woodsman quickly earned a reputation as one of the finest .22 caliber target pistols of its era. Browning’s design omitted features such as a grip safety and an exposed hammer—common on his earlier Model 1903 and Model 1911 pistols—since they were unnecessary on a handgun intended for precision sport shooting. Over its production span, the Woodsman went through three distinct series: the First Series (1915–1941), Second Series (1947–1955), and Third Series (1955–1977). Looking to part ways with my Glock 47 that has maybe 250 rounds total through it. All rounds have been federal HST 147 grain hollow points. Bought this right before Gen 6 came out and have fallen in love with the Gen 6 glocks so no need to be keeping this thing around.
