ACME North has a used Ithaca Model 49 single shot lever action rifle in 22 long rifle.

The Model 49 is a single shot version of the classic Winchester style lever action rifles. However, unlike those rifles and carbines the “magazine” tube under the barrel is non functional. Instead the carbine is loaded singlely from the top when the lever is rotated down.  This youth model carbine will shoot .22 short, .22 long and .22  long rifle ammunition.  There is still quite a bit of the original black paint type finish on the receiver and other metal parts with some noticable egde wear present. The tube under the barrel has a dent about midway along the right side which is visable in the first picture. The wooden stock and four and do show numerous handling marks consistent with actual use and shooting (see picture 3 for examples of scuffs and scratches. This rifle would make an excellent choice for a young person‘s first firearm.
