Condition: Antique rifle. This Springfield model 1873 was manufactured circa 1890. The overall condition of the gun is good. The cartouches are gone from the wood. The barrel has pitting typical for a rifle of this age. The trigger and housing are a little crusty and the bore is decent with several spots of pitting. It’s missing the front sight. Barrel length is 33”, the action is solid and locks up tight. The Springfield 1873 saw service in the Indian wars of the 1870’s – 1880’s all the way up to the Spanish American war.
