Because some individuals do not follow the ARMSLIST guidelines, nor recognize the intended spirit of the site, ARMSLIST has implemented a post flagging system that allows users to police the site and control the nature of the content allowed on the site.
Proper and respectful usage of the site, should not result in posts being flagged. In the event that a post is flagged that you feel should not be flagged, you may contact us, and a review may be conducted at our discretion.
Our system was designed to allow for a margin of error that prevents a few users from abusing the flagging feature, therefore, it is a collective community's decision when a post is flagged and not the result of an overzealous individual.
We recognize that a peer-review flagging system is not the perfect solution, however, this site is provided free to the public and some moderation is necessary to ensure the spirit of the site is maintained. Ultimately, ARMSLIST, via our Terms of Use, retains the right to remove content at our discretion.
Spam includes but is not limited to posts that do not pertain to the subject matter of the site (firearms and outdoors activities), posting the same material in more than one category, and posting the same material in more than one location.
Imflammatory posts include but are not limited to posts directly addressing an individual, addressing a group of persons, posts that express subjective matters, are satirical or mocking, or are not legitimate goods for sale, trade, or intended purchase.
ARMSLIST has created categories that directly match the intended market of the site. If you do not find a category for your item, it should not be posted on ARMSLIST.
Items for trade should be posted in the section matching YOUR item.
The "Guns" classifieds section is for the sale, trade, or intended purchase of firearms, parts, and ammunition only. Posting items in this section that are NOT firearms, parts, or ammunition is in direct violation of these terms.
The "Outdoors Gear" classifieds section is for the sale, trade, or intended purchase of outdoors equipment. Postings items that are NOT outdoors equipment is in direct violation of these terms.
Items that are do not fit into "Guns" or "Outdoors Gear" that are for sale or trade in exchange for firearms should be posted in the "Other Items" section.
In an effort to place downward pressure on individuals that wish to price goods out of line with realistic market expectations, posts may be flagged as overpriced when they are grossly overpriced.
