This is a Smith & Wesson Model 39-2 in 9mm with one magazine. This pistol is in excellent functional condition except for finish wear. It will need to be refinished to get it looking good but it runs perfectly and shoots accurately. I obtained it as a possible project gun for refinishing, but just do not have time to do it. I have for sale a P229R SA/DA in excellent condition with a full complement of extras to get you off to the range - holster, ammo, spare magazines, and topped of with some exquisite hogue g10 grips. The .357 is a highly underrated round that packs quite the punch without the snap you might expect. I find the recoil from firing this pistol pushes back into you rather than snapping the front end up so maintaining point of aim for follow up shots. It shares similar ballistic characteristics to the .357 magnum round which many still considered one of the benchmarks for performance of a self defense round. I am sad to see it go but have need to make some space in my safe - my loss is your gain. I'm asking for fair offers, nothing more nothing less. This is a well-cared for firearm that needs a new caretaker and a new home.
