1909 Argentine Engineer Carbine with bayonet 7.65x53. rifle numbers match except for the stock number which is close but is not the same. Very nice rifle with great rifling. This is the engineer carbine, not the calvary carbine with the wood that goes to the end of the barrel. Ishapore Wire Wrapped 1948 SMLE No 1 Mk 3 w/ Grenade Cup.

Manufactured in 1948 at the Ishapore Rifle Factory (RFI) it's a .303 British, 25.2” round barrel rifle with an very good bore. Serial numbers are matching; magazine is unmarked. Copper wire wrapping is present around the stock in two places. Stock shows light handling impressions. Includes a Components Ltd cup-style grenade launcher originally manufactured pre WW I. The British would provide parts to Ishapore to assemble these rifles.

Wire Wrapping is an Indian modification for reinforcing the guns for the additional recoil forces caused by launching grenades. They similarly added a reinforcing screw to the stocks of all their rifles.

Action is smooth and functions correctly. A well-preserved example of a wire-wrapped grenade-launching SMLE, produced for post-war service and ready to launch tennis balls at the local range.

The Type 56 is a Chinese-made, Poly USA import with classic SKS features. It retains the standard 20.5 inch barrel, fixed 10-round internal magazine, and stripper-clip loading with automatic last-round bolt hold-open.

Matching last-five serial numbers appear on the stock, receiver cover, bolt/bolt carrier, and trigger guard.

Probably not going to find one in nicer condition.

Very nice Swiss K-31 rifle in 7.5x55mm Swiss

The Swiss K31 in 7.5x55 is one of the all-time great straight-pull rifles. The K31 was beautifully finished inside and out and is usually found in very nice condition with excellent barrels still full of life. Citizen-soldiers issued the K31 cared for them very well, and they are rarely found out of order or heavily worn.

This rifle was imported by CAI and thankfully the only modification they made was to add their markings. This gun is as reliable and accruate as it was when it was in service.

Unmolested French Army MAS 49/56 7.5x54mm 20" BBL Battle Rifle w/ Grenade Sights. Not refinished, not converted to .308.

Very nice example in the original 7.5x54MM French caliber. The original finish on these all tend to have a grey patina if not refinished.

The model 49 was France’s big swing at a standard issue auto-loader and I must say that they did a bang up job. The gun operates via direct impingement, making it DI before DI was cool. Other features of the 49/56 that make it unique are the gas cutoff, grenade sight, and grenade distance adjustment.

The Fabrique Nationale Model 1949 (often referred to as the FN-49 or SAFN) is an autoloading battle rifle designed by Belgian small arms designer Dieudonné Saive (Designer on the Browning Hi-Power Pistol and later the FN-FAL) in 1947. It was adopted by the militaries of Argentina, Belgium, the Belgian Congo, Brazil, Colombia, Egypt, Indonesia, Luxembourg, and Venezuela.

This design is a gas-operated short-stroke piston with a tilting bolt fed with a 10 rd box magazine. The Luxembourg models are sought after for two reasons: first, because of the particularly good condition of the Luxembourg surplus rifles; and second, because these FN-49 rifles were chambered for the .30-06 cartridge.

This is an Swiss K-31 for sale. Serial number dates it to 1945 manufacture. It is all matching and in good condition. Electropenciled serial number on the bolt is correct for a 1945 gun in this serial number range. Bore is mint and the rifle has its original sling from 1945. Has a troop tag under the butt plate. Cool gun with a neat action that I wish I could keep.
