(Pittsburgh) MSAR STG-556 (AUG Clone) - $ 1,250

The MSAR STG-556 is an AUG clone that was manufactured by Microtech Small Arms Research.

The STG-556's design was based on the original Steyr AUG since the patents expired at the time. It features a bolt release as seen on the M16 rifle and a forward assist. Otherwise, the STG-556 retains the features similar to the Steyr AUG, such as having the quick-change barrel option and the ability to change which side the weapon ejects from by changing the bolt out for a right or left side bolt respectively. The STG-556 has a right-side ejector.

This particular STG-556 has functioned perfectly from day one (some of the early guns had issues).

Gun is currently setup with a Nikon 1-4x scope that is not included with the sale of the rifle but is available separately for purchase. The Ratworx scope mount will be part of the sale.

Several additional magazines (in addition to the 42 RD magazine that is being sold with the gun) are available for purchase.

Up for sale is a Windham, Maine manufactured Retro style Bushmaster AR-15 with a 20" heavy barrel, fixed rifle stock, fixed carry handle, and a classical traingular fore grip.

This particular rifle appears to have been a police trade-in with scrubbed "OSIRT" markings and a rack number sticker on the stock.

Rifle is in very good condition with minor handling marks.

Rare Bushmaster M17s Bullpup (pictured on the left hand side).

The Bushmaster M17S is a semi-automatic rifle that uses a gas-operated, rotating bolt. The design takes the operating system of the Armalite AR-18 and moves the pistol grip forward in a manner similar to the British SA80. Instead of the sheet metal receiver of the AR18 and SA80, the Bushmaster M17S uses an extruded 7075-T6 aluminum receiver that serves as the stock and foregrip as well. This method of construction is particularly efficient and was subsequently copied by other designs.

Operation is a short-stroke fixed piston system that is self-compensating. The rifle is chambered in 5.56×45mm NATO and accepts STANAG magazines.

Gun is in very good condition and has been fired very little. This one has an Aimpoint 1000 which is a period correct electronic sight.

If you like the obscure and odd, Bushmaster did some wild things during the 80's and 90's!

This rifle was made on a forged DSA receiver, surplus Austrian rifle parts, and enough US parts to ensure Section 922r compliance. It had a plastic stock, steel handguards with a folding steel bipod, a 21” barrel, and a long flash hider.
