This is a Smith & Wesson Performance Center Model 640, double-action only J-frame snub nose revolver with a 2 1/4 inch barrel and some extra special features. It's a five shot .357 magnum/38 special. It has a black finish. The sights are Novak style tritium night sights. The cylinder is cut for moonclips. NO LOCK. The revolver can be used with moon clips for lightening fast reloads. Howeverr, moon clips are not required and gun can be loaded in a normal fashion. The trigger has been fine tuned by Performance Center gunsmiths and is very easy.
