Without having to get out any special tools to assemble the bench I was able to put it together with what they provided in about 30 minutes or so.
Immediately after assembly, I could tell this was going to be easily placed in the rear of my SUV for transport to our favorite range. Since safety is the number one priority when handling and shooting firearms we thought we would give this bench a try with our group of shooters.

At the range everyone had a chance to try it out with their rifle of choice. The hanging pockets on the side of the bench became useful places for Gerber tools and other optic and rail adjustment tools. Even though the foam padding is not extremely thick, we found that it was not uncomfortable to the shooter. I think that the lack of thickness would be a benefit if left out in the elements as they look like they would dry out more quickly than if there were more material to hold water. Everything held up well during the 3 hours we spent hitting steel plates with everything we brought. We’re already looking forward to next week when we get to sight in some new items we just received. A 50 Cal from Bushmaster and a 6.5 Creedmore from Ruger.
New shooters and young shooters will appreciate the ability to have a safe secure place to learn the features and handling of new firearms. When it came time to make some optic adjustments we had more than enough room on the Kill Shot Portable Shooting Bench to do so.
As far as stability goes, we all know that it is hard to compete with a rock solid concrete shooting bench like the one at your local gun club.
